News personality Christian Bruey announced his last day at WFTV- Channel 9 a couple of hours ago on his Facebook. He bid goodbye to the channel, and his listeners by thanking all for the support he has gotten for the past 12 years.

He previously was a sports anchor on the Channel and more recently was on the news side. The journalist gave his 100 percent to the channel.

He participated in Channel 9’s hurricane coverage, and he led the station’s coverage of the University of Central Florida’s perfect 2017 football season, as well as the ascent of Orlando City Soccer Club to Major League Soccer.

His work on the “Central Florida Strong” news segments on WFTV Tonight during the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 helped highlight the people and organizations that went above and beyond to assist their neighbors in need.
